高等土力学课程是土木、水利、交通、地质等专业硕士研究生的重要专业基础课,也是岩土工程专业硕士研究生的重要学位课程。该课程以本科阶段土力学知识为起点,以更广的视角、更深的层次对土的基本概念、基本特性、基本理论、基本方法等进行研究和阐述,为学生学习和解决更复杂的土力学及岩土工程问题提供更为深入宽广的理论基础和专业知识。主要内容包括:土的结构、分类及基本力学性质,土的渗透性和渗流,土的压缩和固结,土的变形强度理论和本构关系等,还包括土工数值计算基础、岩土体稳定性分析理论等。

Advanced soil mechanics is an important professional basic course for the graduate students majoring in civil engineering, water conservancy, transportation and geology, as well as an important degree course for the graduate students majoring in geotechnical engineering. The course in undergraduate knowledge of soil mechanics as a starting point, in the perspective of a broader, deeper level of basic concept, basic characteristics of soil, basic theory, basic method of research and the elaboration, for students to study and solve more complex problems of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering provides a deeper the broad theoretical foundation and professional knowledge. The main contents include: the structure, classification and basic mechanical properties of soil, soil permeability and seepage, soil compression and consolidation, soil deformation strength theory and constitutive relationship, etc., also including the foundation of numerical calculation of soil, rock and soil stability analysis theory, etc.
